History

The storied flight of becoming Detalus:

– Steve Rull and Joe Garea, after years of bringing clients success at other firms, branch out and form Manchester Partners.

– From this relationship, the independent broker/dealer firm Hancock Securities (Member FINRA, SIPC) is created. Clint Lewis, Managing Director, joins the team to focus on developing the team and suite of products and services and overall compliance responsibilities.

Hancock Investment Advisors was formed as the firm’s investment advisory arm. An SEC Registered Investment Advisor, this arm allows the team to partner with clients to manage the portfolio on an ongoing and discretionary basis.

– John Smith, Managing Director, joins the Hancock Investment Advisors team, dedicated to offering primarily fixed income investment advisory solutions, strategy, and portfolio management to institutional clients, including banks and financial institutions.

– Derived from the existing advisory firm, Hancock Institutional Advisors (an SEC Registered Investment Advisor) is created to expand upon the team’s institutional experience, namely the offering of its Executive Portfolio Management.

– Hancock Management Services is created. This arm focuses on a range of consulting and management services, including but not limited to strategic and operational consulting and advice and financial technology (FinTech) reviews and strategy discussions with established institutions and start-up organizations.

– Hancock takes flight as Detalus, bringing decades of investment experience and wisdom together with a modern understanding of today’s markets. Still headquartered in St. Louis with local and active ownership, combined assets under management (as of June 2015) are over $2.6 billion with over $1.3 billion for the institutional advisory business and over $1.3 billion for the combined broker/dealer and retail investment advisory business.

– Detalus’ affiliated companies include an independent broker / dealer, an investment advisor, and a consulting group focused on the financial services, financial technology, and startup spaces
